Some Awkward Truths

Approximately half of the lights on my car are working right now. Typical.

I wore the same pair of jeans four days in a row this week. Depending on how I feel tomorrow, they may make a fifth appearance.

Let's get serious here, I'm probably going to see how long I can get away with my burnt out car lights. [Unless you, dear reader, are a traffic cop. In which case I'm only trying to be funny.]

My diet this week has consisted of macaroni & cheese and chicken nuggets.

Probably the one successful dish I've ever made, practically from scratchish. Find the recipe here ;) I added the bacon bits! This is coming from a girl who screwed up a baked potato.

Partially because I hate folding laundry and partially because this week's been straight outta crazyville, I slept under two loads of laundry dumped haphazardly on my bed. [I was almost too embarrassed to tell you that one...]

Also, spell-checker had to correct my misspelling of the word 'embarrassed'. Embarrassing.

Despite my vociferous protests against all forms of the pantsless pandemic...I'm currently wearing leggings. I know, I know, hypocrisy is strong with this one.

I decided getting this week's free cupcake was more important than getting to class on-time. [...I still do. Unless my parents are reading this, in which case I'm only trying to be funny.]

canadian maple bacon
believe it or not, one of the best cupcakes i've ever eaten.
the maple frosting was almost as delicious as the bacon baked into the cupcake.

What are your awkward truths of the week? I'm all about some full disclosure.

Chivalry Died Today

Boys, they're an irksome bunch.

Especially the ones trailing , with dogged persistence, a  gorgeous girl -some long-legged beauty with the gait of a gazelle and golden, curled locks flowing sweetly behind.  It never fails - there is always some drooling star-studded boy scurrying faithfully in her wake, much to her amusement..

As they approach the oncoming door, the minion scurries before his beautiful goddess and rushes to grab the door for her, lest she soil her dainty hands.

And then there's me.
Me, plodding along behind them with a gait that's more Clydesdale than gazelle. Minion's eyes can scarcely be torn from the beautiful maiden ahead. Just when I stupidly think he might hold the door open for me too, he cuts me off so as to resume his chase..

The door slams in my face.

Chivalry is dead.

Reading and Writing

Soup or Pasta? via asdfghjkllove

Studying.
Then I generally give up and go to the bathroom because I'm bored.

I've always envied those people who can sit down in one spot and just get stuff done; I'm clearly not one of them.

Gotta go write a ten-paged paper now. Do you think I can get it done before 7pm? That's the goal, anyways.

Happy [rainy] Tuesday,

Sunday Jams

This might be a recurring sort of post, depending on how inspired I am to do it again next week.

I like the idea of having a "jam" on Sunday, so you can get pumped up and beast Monday. You know what I mean? Mondays, ugh, they're the worst, amIrite?

If ever I were forced on stage to sing karaoke, I would of course protest vociferously for a little bit, but then I would rock this song out. You would probably be very impressed, truth be told.

Hope you had a great weekend, and get pumped!
