Compiling

Anyone who gets this joke has probably already seen it, but since the last 36 hours have been solely dedicated to programming [poorly]...and maybe some other things, I thought it was fitting.

xkcd

I turned in my project four minutes too late today. That was disappointing. I'm hoping it won't be too big of a deal, since there were two different and conflicting due dates listed. But hey, who needs that last 20 points for being on time, anyways?

It's a good thing I haven't been banking too heavily on becoming a genius computer scientist, because that ship has certainly sailed.

Alternate career suggestions?

Hold Someone's Hand.

It's a jungle out here.

Pictured here is the war zone that is my bed. On the far right corner you see my circuits book. I hate it. And yes, I hate it enough to use the word hate and make an angel lose her wings. HATE circuits. Other miscellanea: An eraser, a penny, a cute bear pen, Japanese rice crackers (gettin' in touch with my asian roots...my great-grandma's from Russia. It counts.) That is a CASIO calc, and is that...what?? Is that a zebra-striped snuggie? Yes. It is. Because if I wear a blanket, I couldn't move my arms. That simply won't do. On top of my fab snuggie is my planner (I know - it's the first time I've had one in, like, four years), my CIM notebook, and moving to the rear of the pic is a package from one sweet friend in Colorado, my study Bible, and the corner of my Jesus Journal. You will see that Compie 386 is currently downloading some Fountains of Wayne onto my iTunes.

Take a glimpse at my world. eat it up.

love,
bRob.

PS- Today I am thankful for that snuggie. Don't worry - I'll try and model it for you soon.

Life lessons

Quote of the day: "Sometimes I forget and try and use Ctrl + F when I'm reading a book...a real book." "That's what the index is for..."

Anywho, let me give you the background on today's little nugget. In my cubicle, we've got some pranksters who love, should one be foolish enough to leave her computer unlocked, to mess with either your email or settings. Last Friday, "I" sent out an email to a superior asking him to take out my trash. Which then got forwarded to other people. I even have a note telling me to lock my computer, and it's still an epic fail.
Moving on, the prankster responsible for this heinous act taught me a new trick today.
I learned that if one presses Ctrl + Alt + [down arrow key], the screen flips upside down. Don't leave your compie 386 locked, guyzzz. ;) I have tricks!

Now I know.
